I live in Northcote and have a 47 element X-type arial pointing towards the Waiatarua transmitter (like all my neighbours) in the correct horizontal configuration. The cable from the antenna to my TV runs about 14m, is split once and runs into a wall jack (so there are a few points in the cable that have connectors and probably introduce some noise).
I have reliable digital reception for the TVNZ channels.
Digital TV3 and TV4 work except when the weather is very bad.
Digital Maori TV is almost unwatchable due to pixilation, so I resort to analogue Maori TV, which is as perfect as analogue can be.
Given that my analogue UHF reception is so clear, will I benefit (fix Maori TV) from replacing the cable from the antenna with a single run of new RG6?
